Seen on our Moorings

Activity on our moorings has picked up recently with a number of visitors and a few more permanent yachts as well.  The incoming swell has provided us with new friends and sailing enthusiasts. Among the activity,

Kingdom of the Sea a 40’ power boat owned by Robert Chua, a new member of our club Gary Pione sailed in a few times in recent months on Anthea, his  classic 70+ year old  8 meter. Gary also provided us with a few great evenings of guitar playing and singing before sailing away to Palau.

Our good friends Rob and Margie on Indra sailed back to Puerto Galera for a few weeks before heading off to Malaysia. We look forward to their return in about a year.

Windjammer and Chris Boddington returned for a couple of visits as well as taking first place in our hugely successful All Souls Regatta.

Alma’s Gift, a 40’ Island Pocket’, and “Mr Ed” returned for a quick visit on their way to Subic.

Herbert Perl the proud new owner of a 32’ farrier joined our club recently and also participated in our multi hull class in the All Souls Regatta

Lorenzo Lewis, another great friend of the club became such a sailing enthusiast in the last year that he bought “Rojo” a 33’ Spencer and is signing up for every regatta in the country!

Pongolana, a 40’ Caroff, owned by Juergen Kirstein is now a regular visitor to  our waters and a keen participator in our regattas.

John and Sal Potter from Australia on their Beneteau Jaraman sailed in tandem with Sue and Wayne Barker on their 45’ Laurie Davidson designed yacht. Both boats will be staying here until February before sailing off on further adventures.

Robyn Wyatt sailed his new 49’ Lagoon “Double Trouble” in before Christmas and is a new member (but old friend) of the Club. Robin intends to spend a lot more of his time in our waters in the future.
