Easter Regatta Puerto Galera Philippines

Easter Regatta 2009

The Puerto Galera Yacht Club was splendid with bunting and banners when the fun loving sailors from around the Philippines, and from much farther afield came to join the Royal/Heavylift Easter Regatta and Lindemans Cup 2009.

This year the sailing weather could not have been better with 15-20 knots of breeze from slightly South of East across almost flat waters. Sunblock was the order of the day as an almost cloudless sky completed the spectacle for cruising and racing boats enjoined in friendly competition in a way that only Puerto Galera can deliver.

The Royal/Heavylift Easter Regatta and Lindemans Cup in Puerto Galera is the last major sailing event of the northeast monsoon (Amihan) season and is designed to allow everyone to have a chance for victory with pursuit races that bring cruising boats into competition with the all-out racers, for some fantastic sailing and photography.

Wanted to come and sail but couldn't make it for the regatta? then click here to check out the latest Puerto Galera water sports and scuba diving webcam locations . . . and don't be late next year.

For those planning to travel to the Philippines for sailing, water sports or scuba diving events in Puerto Galera, from Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore or Indonesia across the South China Sea, check out ' How To Get To Puerto Galera ' in the Cruising Info section. The Puerto Galera Webcam

Webcam Muelle Pier Puerto Galera

You can now connect directly to the Puerto Galera webcam on Muelle Pier. The Internet connection for the Puerto Galera webcam is provided through the resources of Sharkeez Pizzeria and Internet Bar & Restaurant home of the best-pizza-in-town.

Click on the image (left) to view the Puerto Galera webcam showing the yacht club moorings from anywhere in the World.

Note: due to bandwidth issues on Muelle Pier, the Puerto Galera webcam does not provide a continuous video feed - if you have patience the image will automatically refresh every 15 seconds; and, if the webcam image appears mostly black, that's because the town has gone to sleep - we are GMT+8 - check the clock at the top of the page for local time.
