This is the home of the Cruising Yacht Club of the Philippines
We are located at the northeast tip of Mindoro Island, Philippines, inside a historic, natural typhoon shelter at approximately N13° 30.75' E120° 57.25'
In November 2004 Puerto Galera was accepted as a member of
The Club Of The Most Beautiful Bays In The World
and remains the only ' most beautiful bays member ' from the Philippines.

All Souls Regatta 2009
The All Souls Regatta 2009 was a blast! Despite typhoon worries and stranded ferries that could not get people to Puerto Galera on time, the event went off without a hitch.
This year the sailing weather was beautiful. We did not sail the first day because of the storm signals hoisted by the coastguard - we partied instead. But days two and three saw breezes out of the East and northeast of between 8 and 14 knots generally with a short 20+ knot breeze on day three. The skies were clear and sunblock was definitely required.
The overall winner was the party catamaran Zosha, winning for its performance on the water in its class and for the bevy of beauties that caught the cameras. In IRC racing it was Ray Ordovesa's Karakoa that took the trophy, with a second place on day two and line honours on the last day. In the cruiser racer class the winner was Austen Chamberlain's Sorcerer.
The coincident Lawin Dinghy Regatta ,was won by local school children in both classes with members of the Philippine Racing Team coming second.
The next big sailing event in Puerto Galera will be the Easter Regatta in April, 2010. So if you want to make waves and have a whole lot of fun in the sun then book your place now for the annual PGYC Easter Regatta.
