Charter Yacht – Camper & Nicholson 8mR

charter yacht 8mR Anthea

S/Y Anthea Camper & Nicholson 8mR

Anthea has been racing since 1929, when she was built for the Rear-commodore of the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club. Continuously maintained in her original state but with a whole suit of new racing sails, S/Y Anthea is ready for the experienced sailor or the romantic who just wants to be on the podium with an 8mR.

Anthea requires a crew of 4-8 people to be competitive.

Crew’s Comments: you just have to point her at the objective and she will do the rest; she is an old lady who has seen it all, and won it all . . . if you appreciate this then she will put you on the podium of life’s great achievements.

She will sleep up to 4 if you are friendly – forepeak double, saloon 2 singles berths

Charter Yacht – Sydney 36

charter yacht Sandoway

S/Y Sandoway Sydney 36 (BH36)

Sandoway was purchased as a Bashford & Howison BH36 around the time Sydney Yachts took over the production and marketing. She was once one of four yachts owned by a Philippine yacht racing consortium that, in 1999, invested in the BH36, plus a Sydney 46 and two X yachts, to compete in various wind conditions. She is now privately owned.

Sandoway requires a crew of 6-8 people to be competitive, 9 is a considered a maximum for racing (she can cruise with at least 14 plus two dogs).

Crew’s Comments: she can be fast but the crew have to be on their toes the whole way to adjust the rig for maximum performance; she will easily deliver a podium finish if the crew work for it.

She will sleep up to 6 if you are friendly – forepeak double, starboard quarter intimate double, saloon 2 single berths

Charter Yacht – Farr 1104

charter yacht Rags

S/Y Rags Farr 1104

Rags, a Farr 1104, was the design of Bruce Farr when he decided IOR was out of date and he instead designed and built a yacht that just went fast. The essence of the 1104 design has been the inspiration for all IRC racing yachts ever since.

Rags requires a crew of 6-8 people to be competitive, 9 is a maximum.

Crew’s Comments: given a bit of wind (which you usually get in Puerto Galera during the All Souls Regatta) she will overhaul the entire fleet for a podium finish.

She will sleep up to 6 if you are friendly – forepeak double, starboard quarter double, saloon 2 singles berths
