Note: This is an experiment to satisfy recent demands from club members; please make use of it 🙂

The PGYC has engaged specialist Chef Girlie and the F&B gurus of MarB Concepts, from Davao City, to review its operations ahead of the upcoming regatta season.

The review will focus on staff development, menu development, adjusting to market trends and enhancing the club’s identity as the best yacht club restaurant in the Philippines.

An initial review commences 14th March for ten days, with follow-on activities as determined throughout the remainder of the year.

Come and join us this week to give your input or watch out for more news as the yacht club aims to reach out to your palate and expectations of excellence

Thanks to the generosity of many members the aging PGYC bar has been replaced by a stylish new one, which was recently christened with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Built under the supervision of Club Director, Jurgen Langemeier, the new bar was actually designed with input from members, who voted to keep the semi circular theme.

The bar has been named the John Ridsdel Memorial bar in honor of a member and former director who lost his life tragically in the southern Philippines.

The ribbon cutting ceremony turned into a full on party with music provided by a live band, however the band’s task was made easy with members taking over microphone and doing most of the singing.

Snacks were served and it was standing room only around the new bar with everyone voting on the superb joinery and fine timber that went into it.

The Commodore rang the bell to provide drinks for the generous members whose donations made the project possible.
